Written on 19.09.2023 10:48 by Niklas Schneider

Dear participants,

Today, in the lecture, you had the opportunity to take a free language assessment test with the Language Center of the university.

Language Assessment Test

Unfortunately, there have been several difficulties.

In case you forgot your credentials, please visit the Language Center (Building C5 4) either at the service point or at Dana's office (room 3.16) to request to change your credentials.

Then, you have time until 6 pm (18:00 Uhr) today (September 19) to participate in the test online. You can access the test by clicking here.

In any case, the results are expected to arrive tomorrow morning (September 20). You can use your result to decide whether you want to participate in the language course that is offered in collaboration with the Language Center.

Language Course

You will be able to register for the course in the CMS on your personal status page as soon as you get your results.

The course will take place at the following six dates:

  • Thursday, September 21
  • Tuesday, September 26
  • Thursday, September 28
  • Thursday, October 5
  • Tuesday, October 10
  • Thursday, October 12

from 11:30 am to 1 pm (11:30 Uhr bis 13:00 Uhr), respectively in the SZSB building (C5 4). We will announce the concrete room later.

The course is an excellent opportunity to learn mathematical terms in English (which is quite important as all lectures will be taught in English) and it is recommended to have at least a level of B2 or above (A1 < A2 < B1 < B2 < C1 < C2) to participate.

If you score below B2, keep an eye on the website of the Language Center, they will offer English courses for beginners in the coming semester.

We hope you appreciate and profit from this offer. Even after the Prep Course, during your studies, you can take free language courses in various languages at the SZSB, take a look at their website!
